So, I thought I would try something new, and share what the experience is like getting to shoot with children. Or, at least my experience shooting with small children. Thought I would start with this little cutie.

We had so much fun, just running around, exploring. I loved the way he would just get so excited about such small things.

He truly is the center of his parents whole universe. And why would he be with such a sweet smile?

We tried giving him a cake pop, but I think he remembers what happened last year when the camera came out and there was cake involved….

Let’s just say, Daddy got Mommy with some of the cake, and he was not happy about it. But honestly, every time I have had the opportunity to capture Kayden’s personality, this kid just makes my heart melt.

Cooper ~ a Newborn Session | Southeast Kansas Newborn Photographer

I recently had the opportunity to do a newborn session with Cooper. And WOW! That baby’s sweet little face was almost too much.

Although he seemed to be less than thrilled to be there, we were able to get some great shots. The temperament of a newborn can be somewhat iffy when trying to plan a shoot. Not all babies will just sleep without a little fuss. And Cooper, well he wanted less to do with me any my camera, and more time with his Mommy. But alas, we were determined. The result, an adorable Newborn session in the style of Dr. Seuss. Enjoy!

What I love about photographing Children is the completely unguarded emotion you can capture. The pure joy in something so simple. I am telling the story of childhood with each image.

Simple Joy

Raylan has been one of my favorites, right along with his sister. But this, well this is about how much fun a one year old can be when trying to get his attention. But he sure did love that little piggy(best thing I ever invested in).

My favorite part was probably his aversion to frosting. I never thought i would see the day where a little boy wouldn’t love making a huge mess with something sweet. It came though, and it was slightly amusing……

He did not like that on him at all!
